SR @ XR 2021

SR @ XR: When Surrealism Meets XR was a special exhibition exploring the intersection of Lee Shin’s distinctive surrealist imagery and the emerging possibilities of Extended Reality (XR).

Curated by Sim Eunlog, the exhibition presented Lee Shin’s unique visual language—marked by enigmatic figures, symbolic forms, and dreamlike scenes—within a contemporary digital context. By bringing together the artist’s original works and the concept of XR, the exhibition explored how surrealist imagination can expand beyond the physical canvas into immersive and digitally mediated spaces.

The exhibition offered a dialogue between traditional visual art and new technologies, inviting audiences to reconsider the boundaries between reality, imagination, and virtual experience.
