Cross Lines 2026

Iliad Sabchi
February 2 – March 31, 2026

Exhibition Overview

Cross Lines presents the abstract paintings of Iliad Sabchi, an Iranian-born artist based in Ankara, Türkiye.

Through layered surfaces, fluid forms, and an intuitive approach to painting, Sabchi explores the relationship between nature, inner experience, light, movement, and silence. His paintings evolve through a process of layering and interaction, allowing spontaneous gestures and subtle tensions to remain visible within each composition.

The title Cross Lines reflects the artist’s interest in intersections—between boundaries and connections, movement and stillness, and the visible world and inner perception. Lines become more than boundaries; they create points of encounter where different forms and emotions meet.

Sabchi studied painting at Tabriz Azad University in Iran and Visva-Bharati University in India. His work has been presented internationally, including exhibitions and art events in Iran, India, Türkiye, Armenia, and South Korea.

Cross Lines invites viewers to enter a contemplative space where lines, colors, and forms continuously intersect, creating new possibilities of perception.
